CALIFORNIA DFA members in Los Angeles gathered for a GOTV training and voter registration ILLINOIS DFA Senior Advisor Harold Pollack PhD and wife Veronica Pollack urged voters to continue to pressure their representatives not to pursue ACA repeal, especially those who rely on Medicaid INDIANA Medical student Sheena Shah joined patients, advocates, and elected officials at Protect Our Care's bus tour stop in South Bend calling for the protection of Medicaid funding and coverage Medical student Priya Parikh spoke in Indianapolis about the importance of ensuring pre-existing condition protections are not weakened and the negative effects it would have on her future patients MARYLAND DFA Board member and MD State Director Justin Lowenthal MD/PhD candidate, joined physicians and medical students for a continued call to take action to prevent gun violence NEW JERSEY Dr Jennifer Chuang attended and spoke at Protect Our Care's stop in Wilingboro on the first week of the national bus tour, calling for continued defense of pre-existing condition protections OHIO Our member Dr Will Sawyer spoke at Protect Our Care's national bus tour stop in Cincinnati in defense of his patients against attacks to health care coverage Dr Maria Phillis attended the Protect Our Care bus stop in Cleveland highlighting the negative impact restricting women's health services would have on her patients PENNSYLVANIA Dr Geoffrey Ruben joined Protect Our Care's bus stop in Pittsburgh to highlight the effect repeal of coverage and patient protections would have on his patients in the state TEXAS Dr Hussain Lalani in Dallas held several voter registration drives to ensure physicians are not only registered but know important dates for the upcoming election UTAH DFA- Utah members led by Board Chair Dr Scott Poppen partnered with Utah Nurses Association and canvassed for Proposition 3 which will expand Medicaid to 150,000 Utahns
